Three decisions that keep a board honest

Each one costs us a bit of the competitive pull that a single global board would have. Each one is worth it.

Ranked within a stage

A school learner is never ranked against a working professional. Cross-stage boards flatter the wrong people and discourage everyone else.

Recent work counts most

Boards run on rolling windows, so a strong month two years ago does not hold a position that current work no longer supports.

Opt out without penalty

You can appear under your handle, appear anonymously, or not appear at all. Nothing about your score, profile or certificates changes either way.

How a position is built

From a marked submission to a rank

Five steps, and none of them count time spent on the platform.

Work gets marked

Only assessed work feeds a board. Nothing you do that was not marked against a rubric can move your position.

It is windowed

Marks enter a rolling window — ninety days on the quality boards, monthly on consistency — and age out the far side.

Compared within a stage

Your window is ranked against others at the same stage, so the comparison is between people taking the same tests.

View a board platform-wide, within your cohort, within your institution, or among people you have connected with.

Recognised, then reset

Top placements mint a profile badge that keeps its date. The board moves on; the badge does not.

About standing

Yes, completely, from account settings — and you can also appear anonymously, which keeps your position visible without your handle. Neither choice affects anything else.
Because a school case and a professional case are not the same test. Ranking across stages would produce a board that measures which cases somebody happened to be given.
No. Boards rank the quality of marked work, not volume, and easier cases carry lower rubric ceilings. Volume moves only the consistency board, which is separate on purpose.
Positions do, badges do not. The quality boards run on ninety-day windows; a badge you earned keeps its date permanently.
Only what you publish on your profile, and most people publish badges rather than a live position. A rank is a snapshot; the work behind it is the thing worth showing.
